Night of Champions Gala

We were honored to be a part of this year’s fundraising gala for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. We kicked off our new theme- Night of Champions- honoring a new champion in the community each year. Dick Monfort was honored at this gala for his dedication in advocating for children’s programs and funding throughout the state. The event featured a VIP Meet & Greet in the historic bowling alley of the Denver Athletic Club, a live painting of Charlie Blackmon, a client speaker, fun live auction, and cotton candy favors!

We had the pleasure and honor of working with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center on bringing back a fun event that started back in 2012- Havana Nights! The night was focused on fun with the amazing Salsa band, tequila tastings, photo booth, salsa dance lessons, food, and open bar. This event has now become a signature yearly event for the organization as a key way to reach new, younger donors and raise money. Watch for ticket sales to begin in spring each year!

Seeds of Hope Women's Luncheon

We had the honor of working with the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Firm on their Women's Luncheon- themed Seeds of Success.  The event featured a cocktail & networking happy hour with champagne and passed appetizers, fresh chicken salad lunch, champagne gummi bear favors from Sugarfina, and fresh flower watering can centerpieces. The program consisted of an awards presentation, inspirational keynote speaker, and stories of the work that The Children's Law Center does on a daily basis.

We'd like to thank Kevin Taylor's Opera House for hosting the event and for the delicious food. These photos were graciously taken by Melissa Polk with Cowgirl Camera.

Veteran's Passport 2 Hope Gala

We have the privilege and honor of supporting those who have served our country so tirelessly and with such dedication at the Veteran's Passport 2 Hope Gala. We provided a completely full service planning experience for the group of volunteers and board members from venue selections, vendors, design, logistics to auction solicitation & management plus more. The evening featured a traditional honor program with Color Guard, Big Pipers, National Anthem, and Missing Man table. We gave out awards to those who have served veterans in our community and across the country. The night was filled with inspiring stories including that of the Executive Director who was Skyped in after receiving his 78th surgery from his service. Sharing Innovation Day

On a beautiful day in November, nonprofit professionals from across the country came together to share their stories and strategies for innovation and collaboration for nonprofit shared spaces. We assisted the Nonprofit Centers Network in creating a day to inspire and education their national network. The theme of the day was centered around collaboration so we create a few details to bring that out of the guests. Guests were given tour maps of all the shared spaces in Denver so they could see the different things people were doing. On the day of the event, we create a beehive wall. Each guests received a 'cell' and wrote their thoughts to prompts on our wall. We also created chalkboard tables for guests to brainstorm and innovate with. The day was capped by a happy hour for networking and furthering connections.

The Governor's Cup Croquet Tournament

Join us in measuring smiles per hour!

The Governor’s Cup benefiting Jiminy Wicket is setting out to raise $100,000 to reduce the isolation and loneliness of aging and Alzheimer’s in Denver and beyond. We play croquet with people who have dementia and we teach high school and college students how to do the same. Our award-winning Through Hoops to Hope programs create ongoing, inter-generational connection and smiles. Our goal is to put this program into 100 more schools and colleges across Colorado over the next 18 months and 1,000 schools coast to coast in the next 3 years.

The event will consist of 4 croquet courts at Union Station on the 2nd Fridays, July – September. The event will feature 32 players per tournament with 2 tournaments each week, playing instructions, an awards ceremony, many prizes, and spectator activities, Teams can be made of any age–young and old. Alzheimer’s isolates . . . croquet connects.

Two Wheel Fantasy Poker Run

The 4th annual “2-Wheel Fantasy Poker Run and More” is a charity benefit motorcycle ride unlike any other.  It starts at one of Denver’s favorite motorcycle restaurant and bar, Platte River Bar and Grill.  What makes this ride unique, one you’ll always remember, and a ride sure to make you know you are making a difference is that some of the stops for your cards are elder care facilities.  When the bikers roar up, the elders’ faces light up.  Some of the elders take a spin around the parking lot.  It’s hard to say who has more fun at this event---the bikers or the elders.

There will be free snacks and beverages provided all along the way, and that afternoon, at the last stop of the day, there will be a lot of free food, music, prizes, poker hand awards, and fun. Yes, the ride will also include some twists and turns through the scenic foothills.

For 20 years, Bessie’s Hope has been enhancing the lives of nursing home/assisted living elders and transforming the lives of “at-risk” youth of all ages.  Because of this experience with the elders, many of the at-risk teens leave their ruts of violence and hopelessness and turn toward a brighter future as responsible, compassionate adults.
