We capped off the end of a great week at the AISES National Conference with a fundraising gala with sponsors, supporters, and students in attendance making our room full with over 1,500 people. Sponsors were treated to a VIP area with custom logo lanterns and prime seating. All guests enjoyed AISES 40th Anniversary memorabilia as well as dramatic step and repeat with spotlights to increase social activity.
The Children's Law Center introduced the first Namaste Buffet- a yoga brunch for young professionals looking for a fun Sunday activity. Guests were treated to a yoga class for all levels by a professional teacher at Bliss Studios, a warehouse style space. They then enjoyed bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, and beer to pair with their donuts, bagels, and the rest of the buffet.

On a beautiful day in November, nonprofit professionals from across the country came together to share their stories and strategies for innovation and collaboration for nonprofit shared spaces. We assisted the Nonprofit Centers Network in creating a day to inspire and education their national network. The theme of the day was centered around collaboration so we create a few details to bring that out of the guests. Guests were given tour maps of all the shared spaces in Denver so they could see the different things people were doing. On the day of the event, we create a beehive wall. Each guests received a 'cell' and wrote their thoughts to prompts on our wall. We also created chalkboard tables for guests to brainstorm and innovate with. The day was capped by a happy hour for networking and furthering connections.
The 4th annual “2-Wheel Fantasy Poker Run and More” is a charity benefit motorcycle ride unlike any other. It starts at one of Denver’s favorite motorcycle restaurant and bar, Platte River Bar and Grill. What makes this ride unique, one you’ll always remember, and a ride sure to make you know you are making a difference is that some of the stops for your cards are elder care facilities. When the bikers roar up, the elders’ faces light up. Some of the elders take a spin around the parking lot. It’s hard to say who has more fun at this event---the bikers or the elders.
There will be free snacks and beverages provided all along the way, and that afternoon, at the last stop of the day, there will be a lot of free food, music, prizes, poker hand awards, and fun. Yes, the ride will also include some twists and turns through the scenic foothills.
For 20 years, Bessie’s Hope has been enhancing the lives of nursing home/assisted living elders and transforming the lives of “at-risk” youth of all ages. Because of this experience with the elders, many of the at-risk teens leave their ruts of violence and hopelessness and turn toward a brighter future as responsible, compassionate adults.

This one-of-a-kind event featured the world-renowned Tommy Dorsey Orchestra at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver. The look and feel of the event was complete with attendees sporting period attire and learning how to Swing Dance from instructors. Both a live and silent auction helped raise funds for the museum while classic car photo opps dazzled guests.
The event was the Museum's first official fundraising gala and will be continued for many years to come. Visit www.amongthecars.com to keep up to date!
